I have always had a keen interest in drawing and painting, however it wasn’t until the early 30s when I started studying the fine arts seriously. At this time I began with the attendance of notable Maltese artists workshops. As of 2014 I became more established as a watercolour artist in Malta, particularly with the landscape format and began working to participate in exhibitions locally. In early 2014 I became a founding member of the Plein Air Painters of Malta group (PAPM) and in May 2015 the president of the International Watercolour Society (IWS) invited me to set up Malta’s branch within the IWS organisation and represent my countries’ watercolour community to the International Watercolour Society.
My passions in art lie in turning a landscape, no matter what or where it may be into an interesting composition, and paints with a loose style to capture a fresh impression of whatever he is painting.
